Your Video Introduction Guide

How to create a short, personal video that connects with our travellers — long before the journey begins.

Your Video Is the First Handshake

At Firebird Tours, the guides, drivers, and local hosts who travel alongside our clients are at the very heart of every experience.

Before your travellers arrive, they are already wondering

Who will be waiting for them? Will they feel in good hands? Will this person understand what they are looking for? A short, genuine video from you answers all of that.
We share your video with every traveller who will journey with you, as well as with our internal team. It helps us introduce you with pride, and it helps travellers arrive with confidence, excitement, and a genuine sense of who they are about to meet.

At Firebird Tours, we go far beyond booking logistics. We curate deeply personal journeys for discerning travellers — and the guides, drivers, and local hosts who accompany them are at the very heart of every experience.

What we
are looking for

Any device will do. What matters is warmth and authenticity — not production quality.

Length:
2–3 minutes — relaxed and focused

Format:
Any device — phone, tablet, or camera. MP4 or MOV preferred

Location:
Somewhere natural to you — a favourite square, your car, a scenic spot

Language:
English please — our guests are primarily from the United States

Tone:

Warm and personal — no script needed, just speak from the heart.

Relax
You don't need a professional setup. Our travellers respond most to genuine, personal videos — the kind you can record on your phone in a few minutes.

Film in a place that feels natural to you: a favourite square in your city, your car before a tour starts, a scenic viewpoint you return to time and again. No script, no teleprompter. Just speak as you would to a new acquaintance you are about to spend three days with on the road.

The video will be shared privately and directly with travellers who are due to journey with you — never publicly, without your permission.

Tips for Recording
a Great Video

You don't need to be a filmmaker. Here is what actually makes a difference.
Light matters most
Film facing a window or outdoors in soft, natural light. Avoid having a bright window behind you — it turns you into a silhouette.
Keep your phone steady
Prop it against something or ask someone to hold it. Shaky footage is distracting and makes it hard for travellers to focus on you.
Look at the camera lens
Not at yourself on the screen. It creates real eye contact with the person watching — and makes a huge difference.
Start with a warm hello
Say your name, where you are based, and what you do. Simple and clear is perfect — travellers just want to meet you.
Speak naturally
Pause when you need to. Smiling comes through even on video. A relaxed pace feels far warmer than rushing through talking points.

Pick one or two topics you love
Rather than trying to cover everything. Your genuine passion for one subject is more compelling than a polished list of ten.
Don't worry about mistakes
Re-record as many times as you like. One natural, unpolished take always beats a perfect but stiff one.

Questions & Ideas
to Inspire You

Choose any two or three that excite you most. The best video is the one where you are genuinely enjoying what you are talking about.
  • Tell us who you are

Travellers want to know the person behind the experience — not just credentials, but the story and the passion that brought you here.

    • How long have you been doing this work, and how did you get into it?
    • What do you enjoy most about your job — what keeps you passionate every day?
    • What would surprise our travellers to know about you or the way you work?
    • What is the one thing you always make sure your travellers experience?
    • What is the one thing that always makes you laugh on the job?
  • Bring your region to life

You know places, stories, and secrets that no guidebook contains. Share one of them and travellers will be counting the days to arrival.

    • What are your absolute favourite spots in the region — the places you never get tired of showing?
    • Tell us a short story about your city or region that would make someone want to come here right now.
    • What do most tourists miss that locals know and love?
    • If you had just one free afternoon in your region, where would you go?
  • The moments that matter

Travellers want to know they are in expert, caring hands. Share a moment that shows who you are when it matters most on the road.

    • What, in your experience, makes a tour or transfer truly unforgettable for a traveller?
    • Tell us about a moment when something unexpected happened on the road — and how you handled it.
    • What advice would you give to someone visiting your region for the very first time?
    • What do you most want travellers to feel or remember from their time with you?
