Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival to Prague

Welcome to the fairy-tale capital of the Czech Republic - Prague! Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the airport and transferred to your neat Prague hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Meals are not included.

Day 2
Prague City Tour & Beer Tasting

Following breakfast, you embark on a 5-hour voyage of discovery into the Old Town with your private guide who shows you the most magnificent city sights.

You walk the famous Royal Route, originally used for the king's coronation procession, and see the Municipal House, the Gothic Tyn Cathedral, the cubist House at the Black Madonna and the Old Town Hall tower with its legendary Astronomical clock. Then you explore Parizska street modeled after a Parisian boulevard, the Josefov area - the former Jewish ghetto, the Rudolfinum concert hall and the famous Charles Bridge with the splendid Prague Castle (no entrance included). Fee for public transport to travel between the sites with your guide is included.

Then you are invited for a unique experience - a guided beer tour. You visit a typical local beer tavern in the city center to learn about the history of Czech beer and to understand how this drink has become a part of the national heritage.

After the tour, you return to your hotel. You have the evening free to enjoy Prague.

Day 3
Kutna Hora Tour

In the morning following breakfast meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby, and embark on a 6-hour private tour to magnificent Kutna Hora.

Following a 1.5 hour ride through the beautiful Bohemian countryside, you reach the stunning town of Kutna Hora. This UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site gained excessive wealth thanks to its prosperous silver mines and became the second most important town in the Kingdom of Bohemia, after Prague.

During the tour, you see all of the key medieval and Baroque monuments, including the former central royal mint, the interior of St. Barbara’s Cathedral, as well as the nearby All Saints Ossuary (Bone Church) which is famous for its elaborate decorations made of human bones.

After the tour, you return to Prague and have the rest of the day free.

Day 4
Arrival in Vienna & City Tour

Today after breakfast you check out from the hotel and meet the driver at the hotel lobby for the transfer to the railway station, to take a 4-hour train to Vienna (1st class train tickets are included).

Upon arrival to the European capital of music, you meet your driver at the station and shortly you arrive at your hotel located in the very heart of the city to leave your baggage and meet your guide.

Together with your private guide, you walk through the Karntnerstrasse, a shopping street in the pedestrian zone of the city center, to St. Stephen’s Cathedral, one of Vienna's main landmarks. Continue your walk along the Graben and the Kohlmarkt, a very exquisite shopping area, to the Imperial Palace Hofburg which is the former winter residence of the Habsburgs that now houses the Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum, the Imperial Silver Chamber, the Austrian National Library and much more.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5
Tour of Vienna, Schonbrunn Palace & Vienna Woods Exploration

Following breakfast and check-out, meet your guide and driver who take you on a 4-hour private tour around the most significant sites within the boundaries and in the surrounding area of Vienna.

During the tour, you explore the Vienna Woods, which are the most eastern foothills of the Alps. You enjoy a stunning view over the city and Danube River from Kahlenberg, the highest hill in the city.

Then you drive through the wine area in the foot of the Vienna Woods, the town of Grinzing, and learn why Vienna is called the 'Wine-Growing Capital of the World'.

Next on your list is the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer royal residence, that gives you a historical impression of the glorious imperial times. A highlight is a guided inside visit to the showrooms of the Palace.

After the tour, you embark the gorgeous MS Bellejour ship.

In the evening enjoy an information briefing followed by dinner and a musical evening in the lounge.

Day 6
Bratislava City Tour

Following breakfast, you have a 2-hour walking group tour around the most famous attractions of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

The historic center of Bratislava is rich in castles and baroque palaces. You see the Grassalkovich Palace, which is now the Slovak president’s residence, and the Gothic St. Martin's Cathedral built during the 13th-16th centuries, the Main Market Square, where you can buy some traditional souvenirs, the Town Hall complex dating back to the 14th–15th centuries and Michael's Gate. During the tour, you explore all the palaces from outside.

After the tour, you return to your ship to continue your cruise. You have a welcome cocktail and welcome dinner this evening.

Day 7
Touring Melk Abbey & Wine Tasting

Today your ship arrives in the Austrian city Melk. Following breakfast, together with your group guide, you go on a 2-hour walking tour of Melk's most famous attraction - the Baroque Benedictine abbey, dating back to the early 1700's.

During the tour, you walk along the emperor's walk, see the abbey's chambers, the marble hall, the balconies and the library, home to numerous medieval manuscripts and gorgeous frescoes.

Next on your agenda is a tour of the medieval castle town Durstein. Together with your group guide, you walk through the charming center and as a final chord of the tour you have a tasting of the Wachau region wines.

Following the tasting, you return to your ship and continue cruising.

Day 8
Passau Guided Tour

Following breakfast, you have a 2-hour guided walking tour of the charming German city Passau.

During the tour, you explore the historic center of the city, enjoy its outstanding Baroque architecture, see St. Stephen's Cathedral and the bishop's palaces. Together with your guide you walk along romantic promenades, winding lanes and majestic bridges and after the tour, you are taken back to the ship to continue cruising.

Today you have a Pirates dinner aboard and a musical evening in the lounge.

Day 9
Regensburg Walking Tour

Following breakfast, you go on a 2-hour tour of Regensburg, one of Germany's oldest towns, founded by the Romans in 179 AD.

Together with your group guide, you see one of Europe’s oldest bridges that was a prototype for the Charles bridge in Prague, you also explore the Old City, with its wealthy merchants’ houses, the Old Town Hall, cathedral the Porta Praetoria the northern wall of the Roman military camp. 

After the tour, you are taken back to the ship to continue your cruise.

Day 10
Touring Nuremberg

Today you get to see the must-see sights of Nuremberg during a 3-hour group tour.

During the tour, you learn about the cities colorful past and cosmopolitan present. You explore Nuremberg’s most important heritage sites, see the Imperial Castle where German Emperors ruled and the area where colorful markets have been held for nearly 700 years. Also, you see Gothic churches famous for awe-inspiring works by the most talented German artists.

After the tour, you return to your ship and continue cruising.

Day 11
City Tour of Bamberg

Today you explore one more wonderful German city, and during your 2-hour guided walking group tour you see the unmissable gems of the UNESCO-listed Imperial city - Bamberg.

You see the see the old Imperial Residence, the New Residence and rose garden, and the Imperial Cathedral with imposing four towers, the Old Court, the New Residence, the Rose Garden. Also see the iconic symbol of the city - the Town Hall which was built in 1386 and stands on a tiny island accessible by two bridges, and the "Little Venice" area of the city which is a former fishing village.

After the tour, you return to your vessel. In the evening you enjoy a crew show.

Day 12
Discovering Wuzburg

Following breakfast, your ship arrives at the Bavarian city of Wurzburg that is set in the Franconian wine region.

During your 2.5-hour walking group tour, you see the city's must-see sights such as the marketplace, the Maria Chapel, the old main bridge, the Marienberg Fortress, and enjoy the views of vineyards. You also see from the outside the top attraction of the city, the gorgeous 18th-century Baroque palace - Wurzburg Residence.

After the tour, you return to your ship or have free time to explore the city on your own before the cruise departure.

Day 13
Miltenberg City Tour

After breakfast, you have a 2-hour walking group tour of Miltenberg where you see the historic market square, the wonderful old half-timbered houses, the old town hall and the towering Miltenberg Castle form the backdrop.

After the tour, you are taken back to the ship to continue your cruise. In the evening there is a farewell cocktail in the lounge followed by Captain's dinner.

Day 14
Departure From Frankfurt

This is the last day of your cruise. Your driver takes you to the Frankfurt airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future vacations!

What to Know
  • It's always best to withdraw some cash in local currency before your departure. You will need Czech Koruna for your time in the Czech Republic and Euros for Austria, Germany and Bratislava
  • Tipping in all of the capitals is commonly expected. Visitors are often expected to tip at least 10% in Prague and Bratislava, 5-15% in Vienna and 5-10% in Germany
  • You will be walking quite a bit during your sightseeing tours, so make sure to bring comfortable shoes
