The Viking Ship Museum is located at Bygdøy in Oslo and is the best way to experience the life and spirit of Vikings.
The museum is most famous for encompassing the completely whole full-size Oseberg ship, which was excavated from the largest known ship burial in the world.
In total there are 3 original Viking ships exhibited - the Gokstad ship, the Oseberg ship and the Tune ship. All of them are more than 1.100 years old and will amaze you with their size and history.
Additionally, the museum display includes sleds, beds, a horse cart, wood carving, tent components, buckets and other grave goods.
