A very enjoyable trip!

A very enjoyable trip! No luck with the Northern Lights on the arranged excursions but we organized an additional minibus "chasing the Northern Lights" in Tromso and were lucky to see a great display! The boat trip in Tromso was enjoyable but the rocking boat is not good for trying to photograph the Northern Lights. Please advise travelers of the need for a tripod when photographing the Lights and the need to understand how to set the ISO setting on the camera before they travel. The guide on the minibus tour in Tromso was excellent with tripods for everyone and the knowledge of how to set up all the cameras. The Ice Hotel in Kirkenes was an experience and the sauna was good. The dog sled in Tromso was excellent! The tour guide in Helsinki and Tallin were good. The Sami lady whose home we visited at Inari was very nice and interesting. It snowed in Saariselka so we saw no Lights there in the igloos. All the drivers were punctual and efficient. It would have been useful to have been told about using spikes in icy weather, as Tromso was very slippery with lots of black ice. Overall, a great trip!
