Stockholm & Copenhagen Heritage Experience

We enjoyed our tour of the Scandinavian capitals with Firebird. Except for a couple of hours of light rain on our first day, the weather was very good. Our drivers were informed, easy in communication and on time. The two personal tour guides did a good job and the archipelago tour was good. The Copenhagen and castle tour guide as well as our Stockholm guide were wonderful. The emergency contact of Firebird we called in Stockholm was very responsive and answered the telephone immediately to help resolve the pick-up confusion. Here is feedback of things we would have liked to have seen better. (1)The Copenhagen Radisson Blu hotel was acceptable in facilities and location but the iconic 1960 style design and décor was, as I indicated prior to our trip, less attractive than we would have preferred. Despite your absence, the hotel choice issue prior to the trip was handled efficiently. (2) The train ride was advertised in the lead up to our departure as a “high speed” train. It was not. The tickets we were given faced the rear of the train, did not have a good window view and the train made 10 stops on its way from Copenhagen to Stockholm. There were travelers coming and going through the cabin each stop. We expected a “non-stop” high speed train, with views, and frankly, given we had a tour of Stockholm that although thorough, ended with darkness, it would have been better to have a faster train and more time in the afternoon sun for the city tour. Overall the trip was very enjoyable except for this feedback. We appreciated the speed with which you responded to my initial request and created this schedule of events for us within our calendar window. Thanks to all involved.
